Arts that matter in places that matter

In February 2017, the Chair of the Villages in Action Board, Catherine Devenish, regretfully announced that the scheme is taking a pause in its activities after the end of spring season 2017. The UNEARTH project is set to continue as planned as it is separately funded. The ViA scheme has faced an 80% reduction in its funding over the last five years so no longer has the resources to continue in its current format. All staff are being made redundant; please therefore direct all enquiries and comments to Catherine Devenish on chair.via@outlook.com. The Board hopes to provide more information on the legacy of ViA later in 2017.

We want to express our gratitude to you, the promoters. Your diligence and enthusiasm have made our events so special and memorable over the last 24 years and hundreds of artists have taken away wonderful memories of staying in your villages. Some of you already operate events independently and we hope others will follow suit and “go it alone” without the ViA framework. We hope you’ll continue to tap into the network of Devon promoters established by ViA, support each other and use the resources below to continue to entertain your villages.
