Arts that matter in places that matter

Our autumn 2015 season has been a smorgasbord of treats so far…

Maz

Audiences on the Moor were spellbound by Maz O Connor’s diamond-sharp Folk vocals Listen to Maz O Connor perform for Villages in Action. The Birthday Girls packed out Chagford Memorial Hall and Matt Harvey barely had space to perform his poetry in Cheriton Fitzpaine. Villagers in Stokeinteignhead enjoyed an hilarious performance and thought-provoking, personal Q&A about multiculturalism with Saikat Ahamed of Travelling Light. Pete Canter and Red Dirt Skinners have had their village venues rocking and Ben Osborne took audiences on a whistle stop tour of the millennia in his “Jurassic Journey” multi media lecture.

To help ensure world-renowned acts play in your local village hall for many autumns to come, please put your shoulder behind our fundraising campaign and donate here. It has been great to see so many local promoters turn out to our Enhance training events to compare notes on how to get as many bums on seats as possible, and boost revenue that way. Please also email in your photos from events to lucy@villagesinaction.co.uk as we love to see them!

Many more exciting acts to catch this November so check out the programme here.
